A conservative student group announced Monday that it will perform a “Catch an Illegal Immigrant” game at the University of Texas at Austin, drawing condemnation from Democrats and a threat of expulsion. Members of the Young Conservatives of Texas will wander the campus Wednesday wearing indicators that say “illegal immigrant,” and college students who capture them and consider them to the group’s recruiting table will get $ 25 present certificates. The group’s spokesman, Lorenzo Garcia, said the purpose was to spark discussion about unlawful immigration.
