University student to run for Labour MP in general election

Labour has picked an 18-year-outdated university pupil to contest the next general election in Bath and North East Somerset, the place the sitting MP has been in workplace since before his challenger was born.


Ollie Middleton, who grew up in Bath, will be 20 when he competes for the seat, the place Liberal Democrat Don Foster holds a robust bulk.


At present a student at Westminster University, Middleton beat much more skilled candidates – including a professor in international law – to grow to be the potential parliamentary candidate for the 2015 election.

While nonetheless at Ralph Allen College in Bath, Middleton founded Younger Labour Bath. His twitter feed confirms his curiosity in politics – but also reveals he is a keen football and rock music fan.


Foster has a vast majority of almost 12,000 and Labour completed third in the 2010 basic election. Foster has not however stated regardless of whether he will stand in 2015.
