Educators, dad and mom and college students will join enterprise and neighborhood leaders on the methods of the Statehouse Monday evening for a “Day of Action.” The event commences at four p.m. on Monday, Dec. 9.
Many speakers will share their answers to improving public schooling and motivate lawmakers to adopt and employ the recommendations of the Governor’s Job Force for Enhancing Education. Democrats have presently developed four bills to serve as the

framework for adopting the suggestions.
Scheduled speakers for this open-to-the-public event include:
- Idaho Training Association President Penni Cyr
- State Rep. Hy Kloc, District 16
- State Rep. Janie Ward-Engelking, District 18
- Boise Education Association President Stephanie Myers
- Added speakers are anticipated
“Funding cuts have had a devastating impact on teachers and college students in Idaho, and nearby residents are bearing far more of the burden,” explained Cyr. “It is prolonged previous time for our elected officials to reinvest in public training and pay attention to both the financial value and the human price connected with not supplying ample resources for Idaho students and teachers.”
Ward-Engelking said: “This Day of Action is a wonderful opportunity to let everybody know how committed we are to high quality public training for future generations of Idahoans.”
